Local drama groups team up

Cumbernauld News, Wednesday 9 February, 2005

Three local drama groups have joined forces to bring a triple bill of one-act plays to Cumbernauld Theatre.

The Apex Players, ACE and No Mean Company will be appearing at Cumbernauld Theatre on Friday and Saturday, February 18 & 19 with their separate performances which have no particular theme in common and mix comedy and drama.

ACE are performing Feeding The Ducks by Michael Park, a drama about a chance meeting on a park bench between a man who likes to feed the ducks and a woman who has gone to meet her lover.

Camouflage, written by Nancy McPherson and performed by the Apex Players, is a light comedy about the interaction by two very different couples who meet at the monkey enclosure of a wildlife park.

No Mean Company are performing an original piece written by one of their members, Anne Gray. This is a dark comedy entitled Never Come Back.

Tickets, priced £7.50/£5, are available from Cumbernauld Theatre's box office on (01236) 732887.
