Invitation To Dinner

'I may vomit!'
Sheridan Whiteside has come to dine. But his unsuspecting hosts, the Stanleys, haven't bargained for an accident and a law suit. Chaos ensues as the overbearing Whiteside relentlessly interferes in the lives and loves of everyone around. Will Maggie escape to marry her true love? Have the penguins eaten the cockroaches? And just who is the ethereal Harriet?
No Mean Co have once again struck gold with the riotous comedy 'The Man Who Came To Dinner' by Moss Hart and George S Kaufman. Not to be confused with the similarly titled Sydney Poitier classic 'Guess Who's Coming To Dinner' this play centres around the insulting, chair bound, bulk of Sheridan Whiteside who is supported by a host of characters ranging from the strange and ethereal to the wild and wacky. With the majority of the cast based on stars of the stage and screen you'll catch yourself trying to identify a veritable who's who of cameo performances.
The original production took place in new York in 1939 with Monty Woolley in the title role and the play has continued to delight audiences for over 40 years, most recently in 1999 with 'Frazier's' John Mahoney taking the lead in a highly successful London West End Production. Following such a performance is a tall order but No Mean Co have risen to the challenge.
