About NMC

20 Years of Entertainment

No Mean Company was founded in 1986 by Theatre Director Robert Robson (now Artistic Director of Manchester's Lowry Centre) and Scottish Playwright Tom McGrath.

The intention was to provide a forum for the over eighteen's to operate in a community drama situation of both workshops and live performance. Twenty years on this intention still holds true.

What they said...

"My discomfort was a testament to the quality of delivery... Excellent... No Mean Company have done their bit for women and V-day.org."

--The Vagina Monologues

"NMC lived up to their usual high standards, tackling a demanding piece with their trademark enthusiasm and proving that their flair for comedy ranges from light farce to the very blackest humour"

--Whose Life Is It Anyway?

"...good fun, with charismatic performances throughout..."

--May The Farce Be With You
